Occupational Therapy

Our paediatric occupational therapist is dedicated to helping your child achieve their developmental goals through a neuro-affirming and strengths-based approach. We create a trauma-informed, play-based environment that fosters a strong therapeutic relationship and enhances learning.

We understand that parents face various challenges with their children, including nutrition, sensory processing, sleep difficulties, school attendance, anxiety, and toileting issues. Our goal is to empower both parents and teachers with the tools they need to provide appropriate support, allowing children to navigate these challenges based on their unique needs and strengths.

Importantly, our occupational therapist works closely with parents and the child’s care team to ensure they can effectively apply the skills and strategies demonstrated in sessions to other areas of their lives. This collaboration helps reinforce learning and promotes consistency in support both at home and in the community.

Areas we can assist with include:

  • Parent coaching and psychoeducation workshops
  • Development of self-help skills
  • Enhancing play skills and addressing social challenges
  • Improving school participation and engagement
  • Comprehensive assessments, including sensory profiles and functional capacity evaluations

Together, we can create strategies that help your child thrive both at home and in their daily activities.
